Home monitoring from £11.49 per month*

Imagine you didn't need to worry about a loved one because there was a monitoring solution that provided you with the reassurance they were OK when you couldn't be with them.

Taking Care Sense is a new proactive home monitoring system designed to do just that:

  • There is no pendant to wear or equipment to charge.
  • Taking Care Sense discreetly monitors and learns patterns of activity in the home.
  • In the event of an unexpected occurrence, or something outside the norm, we are alerted automatically.
  • This prompts our Resolution Team to make a wellbeing call. If there is no response or further help is needed, we will call you or another nominated emergency contact.

Taking Care Sense is available from £11.49 per month when ordered with a personal alarm or is also available as a standalone solution.

With the cost of living rising, older people at risk of fuel poverty may switch their heating off in colder months to save money, putting themselves in danger.

Taking Care Sense detects temperature extremes so it can also flag to family members if the use of heating is being reduced.

How does our personal alarm service work?

Your loved one simply presses the button on their pendant when they need help, any time of the day or night.

No alarm call goes unanswered and the Emergency Resolution Team will know who is calling and from where, even if they are unable to speak.

The Emergency Resolution Team will talk with them through the alarm equipment to understand what help is needed. The team can help with any emergency, including falls, if they are in distress, feel unwell or have a home emergency.

The Emergency Resolution Team will call nominated contacts, such as a neighbour or family, or the emergency services if medical assistance is needed.

Award-winning emergency resolution

We have three UK-based Emergency Resolution Centres. We aim to answer alarm calls within 30 seconds, so you can be confident of getting help quickly, any time of the day or night.

Peace of mind

Not everyone has family or friends who live nearby and can respond in an emergency, or family members may not want to rely on them. A personal alarm provides reassurance for you and your family.

Remain active and confident

Have the confidence to continue doing the things you love and going to the places you enjoy.

Stay independent for longer

"A personal alarm can reduce overall hospital admissions in older adults by 50% and reduce the length of stay in hospital by almost half, from 15 days to 8 days."

Professor James Brown

Aston Research Centre for Healthy Ageing

If you feel unwell

Get help if you fall

Any home emergency

Falls are the number 1 reason over 65s are taken to A&E and one of the main reasons that older adults lose their independence.

Press the button on your personal alarm to speak with the Taking Care Emergency Resolution team if you feel unwell or have a medical emergency.

Get help day or night in any emergency. The Taking Care Emergency Resolution Team can help with any incident including flood, fire or unwanted doorstep visitors.

If you worry about how you or a loved one would call for help then a fall alarm provides reassurance and peace of mind.

The friendly team have access to any medical details shared with us and will call the emergency services if medical assistance is needed.

At the press of a button, you are quickly connected to a friendly voice who can help.

^ The fall alarm sensor uses an algorithm to recognise the difference between ‘hard’ falls and other movements. Like many similar devices on the market, it cannot guarantee to detect all falls because it is dependent on where it is worn and the amount of shock or impact from the fall. If you fall and can press the emergency button then you should do so. Fall detection in the Taking Care Anywhere alarm works with the GPS pendant in pendant mode only and if you have a pacemaker this option has to be turned off.
